Australasian gannet (Morus serrator) coming in to land at the Muriwai gannet colony. This bird is at its most impressive when diving head first into the water and disappearing under to catch fish at sea. They enter the water like torpedoes with wings slung back like fighter planes. It is a thrilling spectacle.
